I have always felt guided to embrace the wisdom and beauty in death. The path that lead me to deathcare and end of life work is a calling. My education & career concentrated on interior design for 20 years. I am grateful that I can use those skills to serve my clients. Creating sacred spaces/death bed preparation as well as tending to the environment as needed such as interior lighting, flow of the space & other interior enhancements is a specialty I offer.
At the end of 2019 I completed training with Brookhaven Hospice and became a volunteer, routinely visiting hospice patients and sitting vigil as needed. In March 2020 I earned my Death Doula Certificate from University of Vermont’s Larner School of Medicine.
I am intuitively tuned in to the needs of others and I find joy in serving. I am also comfortable holding space for the suffering and grief of others. I keep an open mind and love learning about new or unique therapies. Essential Oils, crystal therapy, guided meditation and reiki are treatments I recommend and utilize. My focus is on empowering my clients to make meaning and consciously prepare for death. I find great meaning in this work, and it is an honor to serve those at the end of life and their beloved.
