This one-hour consultation can take place either in-person, phone, or via Zoom. This is an individualized meeting for getting to know each other and understand how I can optimally support the dying and their loved ones.

Hourly rate includes: access to your doula electronically and by phone from 7a-10p; daily visits during the stage of active dying and through death as well as bereavement and grief processing following death.

These visits may be virtual but typically are in-facility or in-home visits attended by the dying person and loved one. Nonmedical, practical, personal, spiritual and emotional support. These visits are different for everyone since they are personalized but generally include: Honoring and protecting the dying through patient advocacy and comfort care. Therapies such as guided meditation, creating a sacred space and therapy through touch, scent, light and music therapy are offered. Special considerations will be made for individual sensitivities. We will create and implement a vigil plan and education & resources for the family & caregivers are provided as needed.

Specialized space planning or enhancements are available for an additional fee. This may include space planning for furniture changes such as hospital beds and equipment in the home, seating arrangements for visitors and temporary lighting and decorative augmentations.

Legacy projects include things like life review, letter writing, video and/or voice recording, gathering of photos and memorabilia for memory books, and other creative endeavors. Legacy work helps deepen the exploration of the dying person’s life and creates a beautiful memorial to leave behind for loved ones. Life Review is a written and voice or video recorded interview with a set list of questions.
